ABC Orders New Pilot From 'Desperate Housewives' Creator Marc Cherry

According to TVLine.com, the ABC network has ordered a new pilot from 'Desperate Housewives' creator Marc Cherry. The project, titled 'The Disorderly Maids Of The Neighborhood' will follow the lives of four ambitious housekeepers who are employed by wealthy families in the ritzy neighborhood of Beverly Hills. 

Cherry will pen the script for the pilot and will serve as executive producer along with Desperate Housewives executive producer Sabrina Wind.  

In addition to Cherry's project, the network announced three other drama pilots for the upcoming development season. 'Gotham', from Michael Green, will tell the story of a female law officer who comes across a 'magical world' within New York City. 'Penoza', which tells the tale of the widow of a murdered criminal who takes over her husband's role in the underground crime world. 'Zero Hour' will focus on an editor of a magazine who finds themselves involved in a strange conspiracy.  centers on a female cop who discovers that a magical world exists within New York City.
