The Hollywood Reporter writes that ABC has picked up an interracial romantic comedy series from Whoopi Goldberg, Principato Young, and Ben Silverman's Electus. IMAN & ANDY is written by Angela Ruhinda.

"Iman & Andy is a brilliant spec script with a specific voice and point of view," Silverman said. "Whoopi's involvement has already been profound. Goldberg added, "I'm so excited we are doing this together. I think this is going to be fun and interesting television."

IMAN & ANDY will center on a young, interracial couple who are coworkers dating in secret at an online magazine until their new boss discovers their romance and asks them to create a relationship advice blog.

Electus also recently sold Killer Women to ABC.

Goldberg and Whoop Inc.'s Leonardis have produced TV's Strong Medicine, A Day Late and a Dollar Short, Whoopi Goldberg Presents Moms Mabley, as well as Broadway's Thoroughly Modern Millie, Whoopi ... The 20th Anniversary, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and Sister Act: The Musical.
