The 2012 Chateau St. Jean Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and the 2012 Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will be the official wines poured at the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®, SAG Awards® Committee Chair JoBeth Williams announced today. This is the second year that wines from the Chateau St. Jean winery and Beringer vineyards are being served at the SAG Awards.

"It's exciting to showcase these new vintages at this year's SAG Awards and I know both of these wines will make terrific additions to the superb dinner served," says Williams.

"Beringer and Chateau St. Jean are proud to return as the official wine for this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards. We are pleased to share some of the best wines from Napa and Sonoma with the many passionate and talented people that the SAG Awards honor," says Elizabeth Hooker, Director of Public Relations for Treasury Wine Estates, parent company of the wineries.

According to the winemakers, the 2012 Chateau St. Jean Sonoma Coast Chardonnay begins with inviting aromas of Meyer lemon, fresh kiwi, and subtle spice. These fresh hints lead to a delicate yet flavorful palate of white peach, lemon-lime citrus, and green tea.

The 2012 Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of dark blue fruits and spices. Notes of cassis, sweet licorice, and a juicy core of fruit are balanced by nice acidity and a silky, lingering finish.

Treasury Wine Estates has long been recognized worldwide as a leader in luxury wines. From its portfolio, Beringer Vineyards and Chateau St. Jean are two of California's most iconic wineries and are acclaimed worldwide for their collectible Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons. Beringer Vineyards is the only Napa Valley winery to produce 138 consecutive vintages and is the only winery to win Wine Spectator's Wine of the Year for both a red and white wine. Sonoma's Chateau St. Jean has long been recognized as a leader in vineyard designated wines, which it pioneered in the 1970s. It was the first Sonoma winery to be recognized by Wine Spectator Magazine with a Wine of the Year.
