Yanni, described as "music’s true world citizen and most popular contemporary composer," continues to sell out major concert venues around the world, including Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. In April 2011, he began the first leg of a major North American tour with his world-class orchestra, performing music from his latest album Truth of Touch, as well as classic concert favorites.

CAPA presents Yanni at 8pm tonight, May 8, at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.). Tickets are $39.50-$99.50 at the Ohio Theatre Ticket Office (39 E. State St.), all Ticketmaster outlets, and www.ticketmaster.com. To purchase tickets by phone, please call (614) 469-0939 or (800) 745-3000.

This presentation is made possible through the generous support of CAPA season sponsor American Airlines.

October 2010, Yanni was embraced and honored by the country of China when the government invited him to adopt a panda during his time in Chengdu. Traditionally, such a privilege is reserved for countries rather than personalities. He affectionately named her “Santorini” for Greece’s most beautiful island, one of his most well known compositions, and the word’s embedded Greek meaning of “peace.”

His string of US dates was followed by a South American tour in the fall of 2012, and will be followed by a multi-city tour of China in 2013. As Yanni tours across the globe, his heartfelt and compelling music continues to touch both old and new fans.
