The Stars & Stripes Festival has a new home this year at Freedom Hill County Park in Sterling Heights! With this new location you can expect more great music, carnival rides, games and attractions at this free summer festival. The 7th Annual Stars & Stripes Festival, Friday, June 28 - Sunday, June 30, is the largest free festival in Michigan and draws hundreds of thousands of people annually.

Music takes center stage at the Stars & Stripes Festival, bringing together world-class recording artists each night as well as the hottest regional and local acts performing on five different stages throughout the festival - over 100 bands in all. Headlining this year's Stars & Stripes Festival will be Collective Soul, CAKE, Puddle of Mudd, Randy Travis and Kool & the Gang. Other national acts include Everlast, Drowning Pool, Saliva and King's X. As always, the concerts are free to attend and VIP seating is offered to purchase for the headlining performances.

All concerts are free. There will be VIP tickets available for purchase at www.starsandstripesfest.com or charge by phone by calling AXS at 888-929-7849. VIP tickets go on sale Friday, April 19 at 10am.

"This year's Stars & Stripes festival will be bigger and better than the previous six years," said Joe Nieporte of Funfest Productions. "Having the event at Freedom Hill allows us the opportunity to bring more bands, rides, activities and attractions than ever before. Fans of our annual event will not be disappointed."

There will be plenty of other fun activities and attractions including a huge carnival midway, "Fearless Flores" circus show, Shell Camino monster truck rides, an Arts & Crafts Village, a brilliant laser light show on Saturday and dazzling fireworks on Sunday. The always popular, Family Fun Zone, will feature camel rides, a petting zoo, Banana Derby, Classic K-9 Dog Show and a White Tiger Discovery Exhibit.

Freedom Hill is located at 14900 Metropolitan Parkway in Sterling Heights. Admission to Stars & Stripes Festival is FREE and all music performances are free.
