"Singer/guitar god" (Boston Herald) Warren Haynes and the jam-band powerhouse Gov't Mule deliver an acoustic-driven rock show at Deer Valley's Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater on July 16. Known for his six-string prowess as part of the Allman Brothers Band, the Grateful Dead -- and, of course, Gov't Mule -- Haynes draws from a prolific repertoire that just keeps growing. His St. Regis Big|Brave Stars, Bright Nights concert series debut alongside Gov't Mule takes place just one week before his newest album "Ashes to Dust" is slated for release. Tickets and information available at Park City Institute's box office, 435-655-3114, or online at www.BigStarsBrightNightsConcerts.org.

One of Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time," Haynes' phenomenal skill on the six-string and vocal mastery has garnered Grammy awards, a Lifetime Achievement nod - and plenty of jams. The Allman Brothers alum, Gov't Mule co-founder and member of various extensions of the Grateful Dead family, has also forged a solo path. He sings. He composes. He rocks. His newest album of rootsy Americana music will be released July 24.

Celebrating two decades, blues-rock-country-jazz-inflected Gov't Mule draws from a prolific repertoire of more than 300 songs, making every live show both fearlessly jam-packed (pun intended) and genuinely unique. Comprised of Haynes, Matt Abts (drummer), Danny Louis (keyboards, guitar, trumpet, trombone) and Jorgen Carlsson (bass player), the Mule has recorded more than a dozen albums and collaborated with rock's elite, ranging from Dave Mathews to Grace Potter.

According to Rolling Stone's 2015 Readers' Poll: The 10 Best Jam Bands (in which Gov't Mule ranked No. 7), "If they ever get around to making a Jam Band Hall of Fame, Warren Haynes really deserves his own wing... The group [Gov't Mule] merges many of the best aspects of the Dead and the Allman Brothers, and they only seem to get better every year."

The band graces Park City with a one-night-only show on its current tour.

"What a pleasure to welcome guitar virtuoso Warren Haynes and Gov't Mule to the stage at Deer Valley," says PCI executive director Teri Orr. "I can't imagine a more fitting show for this mountain venue - or a better venue for this rock-solid display of unrelenting musicianship."

All St. Regis Big|Brave Stars, Bright Nights concerts take place at Deer Valley Resort's Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Shows start at 7 p.m. (gates open at 5:30 p.m.) Tickets may be purchased via phone at 435-655-3114, online at www.BigStarsBrightNightsConcerts.org or at Park City Institute's Box Office (located at 435 Swede Alley in the Mega-Genius Supply store and IQHQ for the summer). Gates open 90-minutes before show time. Coolers are permitted and a nine-inch chair height restriction (i.e. you shouldn't be able to roll a basketball under the seat) is enforced. Concerts will be held rain or shine.
