It's the moment fans have been waiting for! Beloved Boston-based musicians Vanessa Trien and The Jumping Monkeys will celebrate the release of their fourth award-winning album, Wonderful YOU, with a fun-filled, hometown family dance party at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 20 at Coolidge Corner Theatre, 290 Harvard St., Brookline, MA.

Vanessa Trien and her lively folk-pop-world band The Jumping Monkeys will play songs from Wonderful YOU, which just won a coveted Parents' Choice® Silver Honor Award, along with plenty of favorites from previous albums, such as "Tickle Monster" and "Moomooheehawbaabaaneigh." Kids and adults alike should be ready to sing along, dance along and have fun!

Special guests, including Barbara Brousal of Dan Zanes' band and longtime Jumping Monkeys collaborator Julie Rama Winslow, will join in the festivities, and many more surprises await.

Says Vanessa Trien, "Wonderful YOU celebrates wonderful, beautiful, marvelous, magical, YOU! Making an album as a celebration of you, the listener, and of our relationships with family, friends, and community has been on my mind for a long while. Along with my own two awesome kids, I fall in love with every student I teach and every young audience member with whom I speak. I wanted to make an album honoring each and every one of those kids I've been fortunate enough to meet."

A native of New York City who has lived in Boston for more than twenty years, singer-songwriter Vanessa Trien has been crisscrossing musical borders for as long as she can remember. While grounded in the acoustic folk genre, Vanessa has assimilated her own style, shifting effortlessly through an eclectic bag of influences: roots, pop, blues, country, rockabilly, jazz, and world.

Expanding her horizons to include kid-friendly music came naturally when Vanessa became a parent. Her debut kids' album, Hot Air Balloon (2006), gestated right along with her first child, and baby Ellis and the CD were both deemed first-rate at birth. Vanessa's second kids' CD, Carnival Day (2009), escorted number two baby, Laila, into the world. When Vanessa's third children's album, Bubble Ride, was released in 2012, Vanessa was immersed in life with a preschooler and a first grader. Vanessa Trien's recordings have won four Parents' Choice® Awards, a NAPPA Award, and two iParenting Media Awards, and five of her songs have been honored with Mid-Atlantic Song Contest Awards.

As a complement to her career as a professional musician, Vanessa Trien, who holds a master's degree in education from Harvard University, has made a point of sharing her love of music through teaching preschool, primary, and elementary school-aged children in both New York City and Boston. Vanessa has taught early childhood music classes for nearly a dozen years in the Boston area.

Following its October 14 release, Wonderful YOU will be available online at www.vanessatrien.com, iTunes, and CDBaby.
