Boundary-breaking fashion designer Asher Levine has deemed the theme of his new Spring fashion line to be "Theatricality" and has taken significant inspiration for it from legendary power ballad pioneer Jim Steinman's eternal pop gem "Total Eclipse Of The Heart", which was featured in the short-lived 2002 Broadway musical DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES.

The new collection, which premiered last night, touts bat wings, black leather and silicone-based materials - with plenty of wide, high collars, as well - in the sixteen striking pieces, as well as the usual expected flights of gothic, futuristic fancy that fans of Levine's far-out visions have come to expect and embrace in his impossibly short time as one of the most-watched designers on the rise (he is only 24, after all).

Additionally, many major music figures have utilized the theatrically attuned styling of Levine's daringly idiosyncratic and futuristic designs in their stage shows and promotional shoots, among them Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, John Legend, The Black Eyed Peas, Scissor Sisters, Jared Leto and Waka Flocka Flame.
