The Rhythm & Blues Foundation wishes to express its sorrow over the loss of B.B. King. He represented the genre of Rhythm and Blues music at the highest level and will forever be remembered for his outstanding vocal recordings which were truly one of a kind.

Damon Williams, Chairman of the R&B Foundation stated: "B.B.King was an American institution loved by all generations. His musical contribution and impact on the world will surely be missed. From his iconic guitar Lucille to his most memorable songs like the Thrill Is Gone there will only ever be one B. B. King."
