Sad Park Drop 'CAROUSEL' New Single

Alternative emo punk band, Sad Park, have released another new single today called “CAROUSEL” taken from their upcoming new album ‘NO MORE SOUND’, out July 7 via Pure Noise Records. It follows the lead single “ALWAYS AROUND”, which was released with the announcement of the new album.

“’CAROUSEL’ is about wishing you could freeze a moment in time…knowing you are in the middle of something special while it’s happening and wishing you could live in that moment for an eternity,” says the band on the new song out today. “The song went through a lot of changes from the time we wrote it to when we recorded it,” they continue.

“For some of us it just never felt fully there, so we decided to cut it from the album. It wasn’t until we were in the studio talking about songs that our producer, Sean Bonnette of AJJ, suggested we bring it back and give it one last chance. He suggested we make it a little “slower and moodier, almost like Deftones” so we took that, gave it another try and it is the song that made the album.”

‘NO MORE SOUND’ is Sad Park’s third full length and first for Pure Noise Records. The band worked with AJJ’s Sean Bonnette, who oversaw production and collaborated with vocalist/guitarist Graham Steele on the lyric writing process, helped bassist/vocalist Sam Morton, drummer Grant Bubar and guitarist Aidan Memory not only create a record that flows, musically and thematically, from beginning to end, but which also sees the four-piece truly discover and become who they are as a band.

“The theme of the album is summarized into four parts: Life, Death, Love, and Time,” says Steele. Recorded across ten days at Balboa Studios in Los Angeles, ‘NO MORE SOUND’ is the sound of a band really coming into their own. It captures their chemistry perfectly, and as much fun as the band had making the record in general, it still manages to convey the band’s distinctively peppy sense of melancholy.

While Sad Park have always tapped into the human condition with their songs, they do so even more profoundly on this record.

Sad Park’s US tour supporting The Frights begins July 7th in Austin, TX. Beginning August 17, they will open for AJJ on a run of summer shows starting in Pittsburgh. Full list of dates is below and tickets can be found here: https://sadpark.com.
