The stage is set for Starbucks 22nd Annual Hot Java Cool Jazz to once again delight Seattle-area jazz fans as the region's top young musicians come together for a special show at the Paramount Theatre.

One hundred percent of ticket sales from the night's performance will directly benefit the music programs of the participating schools which this year include: Bellevue High School, Garfield High School, Roosevelt High School, Mountlake Terrace High School, and Edmonds-Woodway High School.

The show will be held on Friday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. Since its inception in 1995, Starbucks Hot Java Cool Jazz has raised more than $500,000 for participating schools' music programs.

"Hot Java has become a favorite tradition for Starbucks and the local community," said Erin Combs, who oversees Starbucks Hometown Partnerships. "It's a moment we look forward to every year to celebrate the incredible talent of young people right here in our Hometown."

The critically needed funds raised through Hot Java Cool Jazz help the bands cover competition, equipment and travel costs. Total ticket sales are split among the performing bands. Last year's event raised more than $60,000 for local programs. In addition to Hot Java Cool Jazz, Starbucks supports local arts education through Seattle Theatre Group's More Music at the Moore and Dance This; and the new fan favorite Little Big Show at the Neptune Theatre.

Last year's show sold out, so fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance at the Paramount Theatre box office, online at stgpresents.org or surcharge-free at select Starbucks stores (listed below) for $22 (all ages). Proceeds from the tickets sold at the Starbucks store closest to each school will go to that school's music program.
