S? Percussion is a modern performance ensemble. After a sold-out performance at McCullough Theatre in 2010, they return to Texas Performing Arts, along with guest composer Cenk Ergün, violist Beth Meyers, and students from the Butler School of Music, to present the Austin premiere of a new program commemorating the life and work of composer John Cage in his 100th birthday year.

In this comprehensive retrospective of Cage’s work, S? Percussion has chosen some of their favorite Cage pieces. Those pieces are woven in with new music: some by their close friends and some of their own creation. And given Cage’s use of indeterminacy in this program, every concert will be different.
