Russian surf punk trio MESSER CHUPS will be flying over President Trump's imaginary wall and landing in the United States for their Halloween Howling Tour. This 13 date outing is in support of their new album Taste the Blood of Guitaracula, which will be released appropriately on Friday the 13th (of October) via Los Angeles-based MuSick Recordings.

Taste the Blood of Guitaracula is comprised of sixteen mostly instrumental songs, including their spooky surf take on the classic disco-era tune "Popcorn" (renamed "Children of The Popcorn") and Francoise Hardy's "Le Temps de L'Amour" which was used in the iconic dance scene in Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom. From the perfect balance of horror and surf "Magneto" to the saxophone-infused "Big Foot" and "Night Stripper" to the classic show tune vibe of "Chupacabra vs. Batman" and "Fantomas Theme" to the Dick Dale-esq "The Hound of The Baskervilles" - Messer Chups delivers a mesmerizing and memorable collection of songs. They'll be supporting the release of their new album on their upcoming Halloween Howling Tour, which kicks off at Detroit's annual Halloween masquerade staged at the Masonic Temple's Theatre Bizarre and concludes on October 28th in San Francisco. While the band's mostly instrumental rock is hard to neatly categorize, it's safe to say that it would be embraced by fans of rockabilly, horror punk, vintage surf records, Italian slasher films, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Pulp Fiction, lounge music, the theremin, The Cramps, and the theme song from The Munsters. Their catchy music combines surf, beats, samples, scratchy historical recordings, lounge loops, and even cartoon sounds from the '50s and '60s. Live, they explode with garage-punk intensity, all played against a video-collage backdrop of mid-century trashy cult and horror movie clips featuring Russ Meyer and Ed Wood, and superstars like Vampira and Bela Lugosi with a zombie mash-up.

Formed by Guitaracula in St. Petersburg in the mid-2000s with the then-teenaged Svetlana Zombierella on bass guitar and vocals, and drummer Dr. Boris, the three piece Messer Chups was born. Through the group's constant touring and their steady music releases, Messer Chups has now amassed a huge and passionate global fan base. They recently signed their first U.S. record deal with LA-based MuSick Recordings, one of the premier garage rock and surf labels (Boss Martians, Satan's Pilgrims, The Moog, Space Cossacks) who will release their new album.

MESSER CHUPS is Svetlana "Zombierella" (bass guitar, vocals, screams), Oleg "Gitaracula" (guitar, horror laugh, video), and Dr. Boris (drums, vocals, howling). Their new album Taste the Blood of Guitaracula will be released on Friday the 13th of October via MuSick Recordings. Catch them on the Halloween Howling Tour next month!
