Rachel Goodrich Shares New Single GUCCI

Los Angeles-based musician Rachel Goodrich is excited to share her new single "Gucci" which will be released on February 1 via Yellowbear Records /Infinitespin Records. "Gucci" premiered this week at Audiofemme along with an exclusive interview with Rachel. The single can also be shared at Soundcloud and will be available on all streaming services this Friday. About the song Rachel Goodrich told Audiofemme "The inspiration for 'Gucci' came from a place of insecurity. Feeling as if I'm not good enough or attractive enough. The verses are filled with the struggle of expressing those emotions honestly and instead I resort to a pessimistic, sarcastic, in-your-face kind of tone. The tune carries a dark vibe, but by the end of the song I realize I've been swayed by all the illusions and distractions in the world that have steered me away from making an authentic connection with myself. I accept my insecurities and can turn them into confidence. Beauty lies within. We are all Gucci." Rachel Goodrich will be celebrating the release on February 1 at No Name in Los Angeles. Details for the show can be found HERE.

Born and raised in Miami, FL., Rachel Goodrich is an eclectic songwriter and musician. She started playing music at the early age of 9. Soon after picking up the guitar and piano, she wrote her first song at 12 years old. Goodrich?s deep love for music has carried her from listening to her parents LP collection, performing original songs in grade school, attending Miami Dade College Jazz Program, to producing her first record.

Rachel Goodrich released her debut album Tinker Toys in 2008 on her label, Yellowbear Records. The album features the single "Light Bulb," which received national spotlight in a Crayola commercial and on the Showtime TV series, Weeds. In the summer of 2010, Goodrich went on to record her self-titled second album with Grammy-nominated producer, Greg Wells. Released in 2011 on Yellowbear Records, this record featured the song "Morning Light," which found immediate spotlight on the NBC series, The Blacklist.

At the age of 26, Goodrich packed her car and moved to Los Angeles, CA. Living just off the boardwalk in Venice Beach, listening to her collection of 50?s doo-wop records and contemplating the end of a long-term relationship, Goodrich found inspiration for her third studio album titled, Baby, Now We?re Even (Yellowbear Records, 2014).

Later in 2014, Rachel Goodrich met producer Matt Linesch while performing a show in Los Angeles and he immediately took interest in recording her next album. After a few years of laying low, writing and recording, Goodrich released her first single, "The High Song", off her upcoming album and is getting ready to release her second single, "Gucci". Rachel's new album is expected to come out in the summer of 2019.
