Parklife Festival 2017: Frank Ocean Plays First UK festival Since 2014

Frank Ocean crowned Manchester's Parklife this weekend in what was his first UK festival performance since 2014. Bringing the weekender to an impressive end, the acclaimed singer songwriter opened his Main Stage set with 'Solo', while his set also included hits 'Chanel' and 'Thinkin Bout You'.

Manchester four-piece The 1975 rounded off Saturday's proceedings with a homecoming performance on the Main Stage, which followed a touching tribute to the terror attack in the city last month. Lead singer Matt Healy joined festival directors, the Manchester City Councillor Pat Karney, Mayor of Manchester Andy Burnham, as well as the police and emergency services that were integral in saving the lives of the victims involved - resulting in an uplifting chant of "Manchester! Manchester!".

Further highlights from across the weekend included Boy Better Know welcoming key crew member Skepta on stage for stand-out tracks from his Konnichiwa LP including "Man" and "That's Not Me", while huge performances came from Giggs and Stormzy. Drum and bass legend Goldie led a masterclass in the genre with an 'influences' set on David Rodigan MBE's hugely popular 'Super Ram Jam' stage which also saw Wiley and Andy C perform. Chart toppers Zara Larsson, Raye and London Grammar also lit up the Main Stage across the weekend, with superstar DJs Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, Pete Tong and Eric Prydz continuing the party.
