Described by Coldplay's Chris Martin as "the best singer in France", Bruel has already had a legendary career. Equally committed to both music and acting, he was offered his first move role in "Le Coup de Sirocco" in 1979 and his nearly fifty films, not to mention his many theatrical performances, includes a performance in Sophie Lellouche's first movie, "Paris-Manhattan" (2012), with Woody Allen appearing as himself, and his recent role alongside Emmanuelle Béart in Cécile Telerman's movie "Les Yeux Jaunes des Crocodiles" (The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles).

In 1983 he began his rise to the top of the music world with the song "Marre de cette Nana" (Sick of that Girl), which became a smash hit. In 1989, his first album, "Alors Regarde" (So Look), featured a string of classics, including "Casser la Voix" (Break my Voice) and "La Place des Grands Hommes" (Place of the Great), and he began to perform for packed crowds in increasingly large venues. The 1994 release of his self-titled second record confirmed his talents as a highly popular singer-songwriter. His first two albums sold more than four million copies followed by a major tour immortalized on a live album released in 1995.

The much-loved musician's success has continued over the years with the 2002 release of "Entre Deux", a double CD of classic songs inspired by the period between the two World Wars, featuring duets with Charles Aznavour, Jean-Louis Aubert, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Alain Souchon and Renaud, among others, which sold two million copies. Des Souvenirs Devant (Memories Ahead), was released in March 2006 and went to number one in both the French and Belgium pop charts, and went three times platinum, as did his 2013 seventh studio record "Lequel De Nous", following a six year musical hiatus in which he returned to movies.

Recognized multiple times for his talent in both acting and music, Bruel was nominated for the prestigious César in April 2012 for "Best Actor" for his performance in the film version of "Le prénom" (The First Name), for which he also performed in previously on stage. He was named "Best French Pop Artist" at the World Music Awards 2003, in addition to his numerous nominations over the years, and his record "Entre Deux" was named album of the year in 2002.

To add to those accomplishments, Bruel, an avid poker enthusiast, has developed a reputation as a world class player of the game. In 1998, he was the first French person to secure a bracelet at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), when he won the $5,000 Limit Hold'em. Years before the worldwide high profile popularity of the game, Patrick was integral in introducing the general public in France to the very American sport. From 2004 until 2010, he co-produced and presented the World Poker Tour show on Canal+ pay TV, providing the commentary for the tournaments and in 2006, he released his "Poker Coach" DVD, presenting and teaching the basics of poker to would-be players. In 2014 he has continued to pursue his poker career with a return to the tables for the European Poker Tour event in Deauville. A few weeks later, he reached the final of the World Poker Tour in Los Angeles after four days of competition.

An artist of extraordinary accomplishments in multiple entertainment fields - music, film, stage, poker - over the years, Patrick Bruel has established himself as a much-admired talent. Remaining loyal to his fans and steadily forging a unique bond with them, his passion for music and affection for performing will continue for years to come to delight his present and future fans.
