Million Miles Covers Arctic Monkeys DO I WANNA KNOW?, Announces Folk Alliance, SXSW

Today, Million Miles shares a strikingly soulful cover of Arctic Monkeys' "Do I Wanna Know?" ahead of her upcoming performances at Folk Alliance International in Montreal and SXSW in Austin. Dates and details are below. The track follows Million Miles' sophomore EP Good Luck, Honey released in November of last year on AntiFragile Music.
Audiences were first introduced to Sophie Baudry's sultry vocals with the sensational single "Ice Cream & Cigarettes" which ranked #2 on the Spotify Viral Chart. The similarly scintillating "Honey" dazzled radio in the NACC Top 10 for two consecutive weeks and received support from tastemaker stations inclduing KCRW, KCSN and many more. Million Miles has been rising ever since, seducing listeners worldwide with her inimitable blend of blues, folk and indie pop.
Million Miles' evocative songwriting is inspired by a life as nomadic as the moniker suggests. Sophie was born and rasied in Paris, surrounded by music and always creating her own. By age 16, she won a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and it was there that her skills were truly tested. To no surprise, Sophie thrived in the educational setting, absorbing music history, technique and the eclectic influences of her elite peers. It was at that point that she committed fully to a music career, not yet knowing where it might take her. The pursuit first led to New York City, where Sophie worked as a recording engineer and session musician for a period of time, and then to London, a place she calls her long-term home. Nonetheless, Sophie's travels have not ceased; much of Million Miles' recent material was written in Nashville.
