Maite Perroni Kicks Off Tour for First Solo Album at 2013 FESTIVAL PEOPLE EN ESPANOL

Presented by Target expands the talent line-up for day and night events at the two-day celebration of Hispanic entertainment, culture and community. Mexican superstar, actress and singer Maite Perroni will kick off the promo tour for her first solo album with a performance at the Alamodome on Saturday, August 31. Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo, Noel Torres, Carla Teresa Mauri, Lucia Navarro and Sebastien De La Cruz join an all-star lineup of day and nighttime talent at Festival. Previously announced acts performing at the Alamodome include Gloria Estefan, Alejandro Fernandez, Demi Lovato, Wisin y Yandel, 3Ball MTY, Frankie J, Kat Dahlia, and more. Set for Labor Day weekend (Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1) in San Antonio, Texas, FESTIVAL PEOPLE EN ESPANOL Presented by Target offers free open-to-the-public daytime activities at The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, and a mix of live performances each evening at the Alamodome.

"People en Espanol is a part of my life, my story, they are my family. It's the best place to kick off such an important stage of my life, and to share my work and my dream," reveals Maite Perroni.

Produced by the legendary, 19-time Grammy Award-winning, musician and producer, Emilio Estefan, the heavyweight performances at the Alamodome are bolstered by an equally impressive celebrity roster at free and open-to-the-public daytime activities at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. For example, Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo, one of Univision Radio's most popular radio personalities, whose "Piolin por la Manana" is syndicated across the United States in more than 53 markets will host Festival's Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza on Saturday, August 31. The Mariachi Extravaganza is the largest group and vocal camp in the nation.
