With the imminent arrival of Lunice's debut album CCCLX on Friday - LuckyMe are proud to present the new single featuring Le1f - "Drop Down" was premiered last night by Annie Mac on BBC Radio One. Listen Here: https://open.spotify.com/track/4Aa0VwNeOK38j5AAAd890Q

Anyone who has seen the 27 year old Quebec producer 'Lunice' live will attest to his ability to flow seamlessly through tempos. For the last few years 'King Lu' has focused on GOOD Music and Maybach Music production but here on this collaboration with Le1f, S-Type and SOPHIE, Lu's back working at 130bpm club tempo. Indebted to vogue, 'Drop Down' sees Le1f scream through autotune, gnarled on top of taut processed drums and lightning strikes. Friends for years, Le1f and Lunice previously collaborated on the track 'Umami' from Le1f's debut album Riotboi (XL/Terrible).

The album, CCCLX, is a stoner-opera that blends brand new rap production, film scores and modern club music. Front to back, the record was designed for a live show where physical theatre props litter the stage. Ignoring the tricks of modern festival stages, CCCLX keeps Lu in the spotlight. The only 'bedroom producer' you want to see play live - Lunice has a real abandon for the rules: a product of the beat scene before ever being known for TNGHT - on CCCLX, vocalists big and small appear anonymously for 16 bars before being whipped back into the mix of stark, minimal production.
