On Tuesday night, fans filled the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, CA for the iHeartCountry Album Release Party with Luke Bryan, celebrating his new album, What Makes You Country. During the live event that included a Q&A session with host Bobby Bones, Bryan performed a selection of songs from the new album including "What Makes You Country," "Light It Up," and "Most People Are Good," as well previous hits such as "Country Girl (Shake It For Me),"and "I Don't Want This Night to End." Some highlights from the evening are below!

When discussing with host Bobby Bones how Bryan achieved six #1 songs on his last album, Bryan said that you never set out to do something like that. You just have to keep putting out singles and after that it is really all dictated by the fans.

When asked what inspired the name of the new album, What Makes You Country, Bryan said it is a statement rather than a question. In our society, people tend to put others in boxes, telling them how, where, and what they should be. He wants people to be proud of their country roots no matter what.

Bobby Bones and Bryan discussed how "Light It Up" is his 19th #1 single. It is also the first song that Bryan wrote with Brad Tursi of Old Dominion.

When asked how he finds the time to write his songs, Bryan answered that he writes best when he is on the road because when he is at home he wants to spend time with his family and his animals. He's always very busy, but being busy is what he signed up for when he decided to be in the music business.

Kip Moore and The Cadillac Three will be joining Bryan on tour this coming year. Other special guests will include Blake Shelton and Sam Hunt.

While discussing "Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset," Bryan told the crowd that the album was already finished when he first heard the demo, but as soon as he heard it he knew the album could never be truly complete without it.

Set List:

  1. "Move"
  2. "That's My Kind Of Night"
  3. "Most People Are Good"
  4. "Light It Up"
  5. "Like You Say You Do"
  6. "What Makes You Country"
  7. "Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset"
  8. "Huntin', Fishin' And Lovin' Every Day"
  9. "I Don't Want This Night to End"
  10. "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)"
