Libby Whitehouse Releases Single 'New Boy'

18 year-old rising pop star Libby Whitehouse has released her new single 'New Boy'. The Brighton singer calls out cheaters across the world as she delivers a sharp and sassy empowerment pop anthem reminiscent of the likes of Dua Lipa, Mabel and Stefflon Don.

Listen below!

Regarding the single Libby says, "I wrote 'New Boy' about my friend who kept going back to a boy who treated her badly, and he'd only become interested again once she'd left him. The song is a fun way of saying, "Well now it's too late!", and is about appreciating what you have whilst you have it, because girls won't wait around forever!!"

Continuing she says, "The track is a different vibe to anything I've done before, it's got more of a dance vibe to it and it's the first song I ever wrote with my producer Chris Priest. It means so much to me and I can't wait for everyone to hear it!!"

In just a year Libby has already proved herself to be a fast-rising name on the pop scene. Since emerging in 2017 she's played at summer festivals including The Great Escape and I Luv Live in London, while she has released well received singles including 'Cut It Off', 'Recipe' and 'Hands On Me', which have clocked up over a million streams, with the latter entering the Spotify UK Viral Chart Top 30.

Now with the release of 'New Boy', Libby continues to cement herself as a fresh and exciting new name on the UK pop scene. She will be performing her first ever live show and will headline The Haunt in Brighton on November 13th to celebrate the release of her new music. Tickets are available via SeeTickets.
