Hailed as 'Godfather of the British Blues,' John Mayall is the founder of John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, a band which included some of the most famous blues musicians of all time including Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, Peter Green and Mick Taylor. With a career spanning 50 years, he has more than 60 albums to his credit, including the Grammy-nominated Wake Up Call, and Stories that debuted as #1 on the Billboard blues charts. Nearing his 80th birthday, the pioneer of blues entered a recording studio and walked out with one of the finest and most personal records of his career, "A Special Life."
