Iggy Azalea's 2014 Billboard Music Awards Cheerleader Outfit to be Auctioned

The cheerleading uniform worn by Iggy Azalea during her stand-out performance at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards will be auctioned by Nate D. Sanders Auctions on July 26, 2018.

Azalea wore the outfit in two performances during the show. She appears in the cheerleading uniform while singing her hit song "Fancy," and also wore the outfit while performing "Problem" with Ariana Grande. "Fancy" was the #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, while "Problem" was the #2 hit. Azalea became just the second musical performer besides The Beatles to simultaneously rank #1 and #2 with their first two Hot 100 entries.

The cheerleading uniform consists of two pieces. The 14" x 14" long black and white plaid top has the word "REBEL" appliqued in red block type on the front. Azalea signed the neck interior, "'Iggy Azalea ox.'' The matching black and white plaid uniform's miniskirt measures 23" at the waist and is 15" long.

Azalea initially sold the costume to benefit the non-profit LGBT organization GLAAD. A certificate of authenticity from GLAAD accompanies the lot.

Iggy Azalea is an Australian rapper. She began rapping at 14 years old. She moved to the United States in 2006. Azalea won two American Music Awards in 2014 in the Rap/Hip-Hop categories. In 2015, she received 12 nominations at the Billboard Music Awards. She has 11.9 million Instagram followers.

Bidding for the outfit begins at $6,000.
