Gunhild Carling to Perform at Ossipee Valley Music Festival in Maine
The Swedish jazz multi-instrumentalist and vocalist has performed with Postmodern Jukebox and the Count Basie Orchestra.
Internationally acclaimed jazz musician Gunhild Carling will perform at the Ossipee Valley Music Festival on Saturday, July 25, in Hiram, Maine.
A celebrated Swedish jazz artist, singer-songwriter, and vaudeville performer, Carling has earned worldwide recognition for her energetic live performances and remarkable versatility as a multi-instrumentalist. She is known for playing an array of instruments, including trumpet, trombone, bagpipes, piano, harp, harmonica, recorder, flute, and ukulele.
Throughout her career, Carling has toured extensively across the globe, collaborated with leading artists and ensembles, and amassed a devoted following through her interpretations of jazz standards and vintage-inspired arrangements of contemporary pop songs. Her performances frequently blend technical virtuosity with theatrical flair, making her one of the most distinctive artists working in traditional and swing music today.
In addition to leading her own ensemble, Carling has performed with Postmodern Jukebox, the Carling Family, the Count Basie Orchestra, WDR BIG BAND, Papa Bue, Christer Sjögren, Macy Gray, Sabrina Carpenter, the California Symphony, Musica Vitae, the Meridian Symphony Orchestra, and numerous other acclaimed artists and organizations.

The performance will take place as part of the 2026 Ossipee Valley Music Festival in Hiram, Maine.
