Goo Goo Doll's Single 'Home' Premiers on VH1.com, Aug. 3

The video for "Home," the new single from platinum selling rock band, Goo Goo Dolls, will premiere on VH1.com on Tuesday, August 3rd, followed by all other media outlets the next day. "Home," which has been embraced by radio and is currently in the Top 15 of Hot AC and is rising. It is the first single from the Goo Goo Dolls' upcoming ninth studio album, Something For the Rest of Us, which will be released by Warner Bros. Records on August 31st.

The video for "Home" will make its television premiere when the band members, singer/guitarist Johnny Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac, and drummer Mike Malinin are introduced as guests on VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown show on August 7th.

The band is confirmed to perform street week on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on September 1st.

The track also appears on the band's newly released EP, Waiting for the Rest of It, which is being sold at all stops on their current tour and will be released by all digital service providers on August 10th. In addition to "Home," the EP includes three other songs from Something For the Rest of Us: "Sweetest Lie," "Now I Hear," and "Still Your Song." The EP also includes a live version of their hit "Broadway" from this past Spring's tour dates.

A deluxe book edition version of Something For the Rest of Us is currently available for pre-order exclusively at www.googoodolls.com. This limited-edition version features exclusive photos of the band, a digital download of "Home" upon purchase, and a limited-edition lithograph, some of which have been personally signed by each member of the band.

Those who purchase this release will also receive classic covers of Flesh for Lulu's "Postcards From Paradise" and Pete Townshend's "Rough Boys," plus an exclusive cover of the Kinks' classic "Catch Me Now I'm Falling," available only on this collection. These tracks will be delivered digitally on or before August 31st.

Something For the Rest of Us is the follow up to 2006's Let Love In, which marked the Goo Goo Dolls' 20th anniversary as a band. The album spawned several Top 10 singles, including "Better Days," "Stay With You," and the title track, which gave them their record-breaking twelfth Top 10 hit on the Adult Top 40 chart. Their thirteenth, "Before It's Too Late," appeared on the blockbuster Transformers soundtrack. The Goo Goo Dolls have racked up four Grammy nominations and sold more than 10 million albums.
