Just in time for the fifth season premiere of FOX's hit musical dramedy series Glee on Thursday, the first glimpse of reigning pop superstar and X FACTOR judge Demi Lovato in her new recurring role on the show has emerged at long last.

Lovato shares the screen with Glee regular Naya Rivera in the new stills released from the hotly anticipated episode, in a scene largely centered around the duo's performance of a classic 1969 radio staple by the Beatles, "Here Comes The Sun".

The pair of leading ladies will purportedly find their relationship moving beyond the duet phase over the course of the season, with Lovato's character, named Dani, introduced as a potential love interest for bisexual Santana (Rivera).

Also, the romantically linked characters will be featured in scenes set at a sing-a-long theme diner in the New York City-set portion of the storyline in the new season, according to reports - thus the matching tacky uniforms - with Lovato's character also interacting with Glee S5 newcomer Adam Lambert and singing a tune or two with him, too.

Indeed, it was just reported last week that Lovato and Lambert will share a duet in Episode 4 to follow Lovato's duet with Rivera in Episode 2. Check out BroadwayWorld's article on the matter here.

GLEE returns on September 26 with the S5 premiere episode, titled "Love, Love, Love".

Of note, Lovato first appears in the second of the Beatles-themed episodes, airing next week, titled "Tina In The Sky With Diamonds". Additionally, Lovato is featured on the new Glee SINGS THE BEATLES soundtrack out now.
