Emily Hearn to Perform and Release New Album 'Red Balloon' 1/31-5/18

New recording artist Emily Hearn has announced that her new album,"Red Balloon" will be released on iTunes on Tuesday, Jan. 31, followed by a CD Release show in Athens, GA at the 40 Watt Club on Monday February 6th (doors open at 8pm, show at 9pm). While this is not her first album to be released, it is her first full-length one. She has already released a live video of one of her new songs, called "New Orleans," which can be viewed on YouTube here.

Emily has also just released new performance dates for January-May: On 1/31, she will make a live radio performance in the WUOG lobby, via WUOG 90.5 fm. On 2/13, she will perform a free concert with Michael Harrison and others at the annual "Sweetheart Duets Hoot" at the Melting Point in Athens, GA. Find details for that performance here.

Next, she will travel to Charleston, SC to perform at The Music Farm on 2/16. Doors open at 8pm, show at 9pm, with tickets for $5 in advance; $7 at the door. Visit http://www.musicfarm.com/ to purchase tickets.

Emily returns to the Melting Point in Athens on 2/23 to perform a 7pm show (doors at 6:30pm) with special guest John French and the Bastilles. Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door.

On 2/28, Emily will take the stage at the Charlotte, NC Convention Center for the NACA National Showcase.

After a hiatus from public shows in March and April, Emily will take the stage at the Fresh Brewed Coffee House in Myrtle Beach, SC for an accoustic performance on May 18.

With a voice that delivers memorable melodies and relevant lyrics, 21 year-old Emily Hearn is a singer/songwriter who brings something new and engaging to her craft. Hearn grew up in the small town of Griffin, Georgia and is now living in Athens where she first made a name for herself in 2009, playing local venues like The Melting Point, Flicker Theatre, Tasty World and The 40 Watt Club.

Emily independently released her debut EP, Paper Heart, in April of 2010. In February of 2011, she released a music video for her hit single "Rooftop" featuring the renowned actor, Bill Murray, which can be viewed here. Hearn has opened for several national acts, including country star Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish. The ripple surrounding Hearn's music continues to expand world-wide with opportunities to perform for international crowds of over 10,000 people.
