Danny Kalb, Guitarist extraordinaire, plays the traditional blues of rural America. He will be performing with the members of his trio: Danny Kalb (guitar); Larry Nelson (bass); Mark Ambrosino (drums). The performance takes place in the Greenwich Village sanctuary of Saint John's Lutheran Church, 81 Christopher Street, NYC. This concert is the first of the "Legends" series by the Folk Music Society of NY (aka Pinewoods Folk Music Club).

Danny is a brilliant and innovative blues guitarist. He was a founding member of the influential Sixties group, the Blues Project and has since performed in various groups, including Blood, Sweat & Tears, as well as solo. He has recorded with Judy Collins, Phil Ochs, and Dave Van Ronk, among others. On August 4th, he was inducted into the B.B. King Blues Hall of Fame.

Tonight's September 20th concert promises to be a superb evening of music in a charming west village venue. Folk, roots, Americana, or traditional music lovers won't want to miss the chance to see a brilliant interpreter of our musical heritage.
