Christian Loffler Releases New LP 'Graal (Prologue)'

Christian Löffler's new LP, "Graal (Prologue)" is out today, April 5th, via Ki-Records. Off the LP, he has released the gorgeous videos for "Like Water (feat Mohna)" and "Ry".

A visual artist and painter, Christian drew sketches for each song on "Graal (Prologue)": the dry minimal techno for "Ry," the floral and piercing "Bird," the eerie "Like Water," the romantic solitude on "Running," the spectral and damp "Refu," the warpy and sharp "Graal". He feeds his music with his art, drawings and paintings that help him express his creativity. On this new LP, he's drawing lines of sound from deep ambient house and psychedelic neo-classical minimal techno.

"Graal (Prologue)" is not born solely of his creative urges. It stems from frustration, and a sense that while touring he no longer had the mental space or down time to let his creativity flourish. Following an intense period of live concerts, Löffler would find himself focusing on visual art - painting, drawing, but absolutely no music.

"Graal" is, as denoted by 'Prologue', just a prelude - a second companion album will be released before the end of the year. The idea is for the whole project to have an organic dichotomy - while Graal was created on the road (Löffler likens it to a travel diary), the follow-up will be a classic studio album, created in his home recording space. It will come illustrated with paintings.

US Tour Dates will be announced soon.
