Cairo Gold Releases Her Debut Single TORTURE Today

LA songstress Cairo Gold releases her debut single "Torture" today via RED MUSIC off of her upcoming EP. Cairo's sultry voice transcends over the 808-infused instrumentation to create a track that focuses on the pleasure and pain of love. The single is now available across all digital service providers. "Writing 'Torture' was a cathartic experience for me - it's the confession of an extreme and passionate person going through the highs and lows of being madly in love. I wanted to write a 'love song' from an honest and unashamed perspective...my perspective. I've learned that if you want to have the pleasure of the extreme euphoria that love can bring, you've got to be willing to endure the struggle and madness sometimes because ultimately it's worth it. I am so excited for everyone to hear this song, because I know I'm not the only wild-fire out there. This one is for fearless lovers," says Cairo Gold on the track.

A brash, bizarre, and often beautiful turn of events gave the world Cairo Gold. The motorcycle riding, former weed hustler turned modern soul vixen could very well be the "L.A. Woman" Jim Morrison warned us about. Armed with a deadly delivery and smoky croon, her 2018 debut EP [RED MUSIC] feels like Amy Winehouse produced by Metro Boomin, but any comparison just barely scratches the surface. Cairo Gold first picked up a guitar in 2012, while living near Venice Beach. Equally inspired by life, Led Zeppelin, old school rap a la Biggie and Tupac, and the esoteric literature of Michael Newton and Paulo Coelho, this consummate artist began writing songs during a period of being "beaten down by life and feeling the need for musical self-expression." Logging countless gigs around Los Angeles and recording demos, she cut her teeth and developed a powerful presence. In between, producers and music supervisors sought her out for session work. Working with production duo Eryk Rich and Chase Butters, her singular style quietly came into focus. 2018 is set to be a big year for the singer songwriter. Stay tuned for more announcements.
