CORTIS Will Release GREENGREEN_playextended for First Anniversary

CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho) celebrated the group's first anniversary with the release of GREENGREEN_playextended, the extended edition of their second EP.

GREENGREEN_playextended expands on the six tracks originally featured on GREENGREEN with two newly released songs, 'PACK IT UP' and 'MONEYMONEYMONEY.' Created during the making of the original EP but ultimately left off the final tracklist, the two tracks offer a closer look at the ideas, experiences, and perspectives that shaped the group during its first year. All five members participated in writing and composing both songs, further showcasing CORTIS's identity as a 'young creator crew.'

CORTIS celebrated the release with the '2026 CORTIS TOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY,' a special two-night concert held in Seoul on August 22 and 23. The group surprised fans with the first live performances of 'PACK IT UP' and 'MONEYMONEYMONEY,' alongside 'MOTION (feat. Juicy J),' bringing the group's latest release to the stage for fans celebrating their first anniversary together.

'PACK IT UP' carries particular significance as an idea from the group's earliest days came full circle on the anniversary stage. The track originated from a freestyle the members came up with while joking around and packing their bags at their shared accommodation ahead of an overseas schedule. The moment was captured in their own content 'Pack Up Bro,' released shortly after their debut, where the members casually traded lines and melodies on the spot. For the anniversary concert, footage from the original video was incorporated into a short VCR, building anticipation before seamlessly transitioning into the live performance of the completed track. The full-circle moment connected the CORTIS of their debut days with the artists they have grown into over the past year. True to its origins, 'PACK IT UP' retains the same playful, spontaneous energy that first inspired the song, with the members' chemistry and collaborative creative process woven throughout.

On 'MONEYMONEYMONEY,' CORTIS take a candid and witty look at their thoughts on money, starting with a simple question: What would you do first if you suddenly came into a lot of money? Rather than celebrating wealth, the hip-hop track captures the members' honest and youthful perspective on money, recognizing both its limits and its necessity. The lyrics also draw inspiration from recent experiences, including Paris Fashion Week, bringing real-life moments into the song.

By adding these two previously unreleased tracks, GREENGREEN_playextended revisits the creative period behind GREENGREEN while preserving the thoughts and experiences that shaped CORTIS during their first year. More than an extended edition, the release serves as a snapshot of the group one year into its journey, capturing the curiosity, creativity, and self-driven spirit that have defined CORTIS from the very beginning.

The release arrives at a milestone moment for the group. Since debuting with 'What You Want' on August 18, 2025, CORTIS have steadily built a global audience through major performances, chart achievements, and rapidly growing digital engagement.

That trajectory reached a new stage with their first-ever tour, '2026 CORTIS TOUR IN NORTH AMERICA,' which recently wrapped with every show selling out within minutes. The tour followed their Lollapalooza Chicago debut on August 1, where they performed on the T-Mobile Stage in front of approximately 50,000 people. Despite challenging weather conditions, their high-energy set drew an enthusiastic response from the massive crowd, while clips from the performance quickly spread across social media and introduced the group to new audiences.

CORTIS also became the fastest K-pop act to reach 15 million followers on Instagram, while continuing to build a rapidly growing audience across platforms with 16.6 million followers on TikTok and 6.5 million subscribers on YouTube, placing them among the most-followed K-pop boy groups to debut within the past five years.

The group's growing global profile has also been recognized across the industry. CORTIS recently earned two nominations at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards for Best New Artist and Best K-Pop, recognizing their rapid rise just one year into their career. They will also perform at the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on October 9, marking another major international stage as they embark on their second year.

About CORTIS

CORTIS—consisting of Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho—have quickly emerged as a breakout global act under BIGHIT MUSIC since their debut in August 2025. The name CORTIS is an unconventional mix of six letters drawn from the phrase 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,' reflecting their determination to think beyond the boundaries defined by the world. True to this ethos, the group has established itself as self-driven creatives who take an active role across every aspect of their artistry. Their 1st EP COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES marked the beginning of their rapid rise. In 2026, they became the first K-pop act to headline the Opening Night of the NBA Crossover Concert Series during NBA All-Star Weekend. The momentum continued with their 2nd EP GREENGREEN, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, up 12 spots from their previous release. Following their Lollapalooza debut as the only K-pop boy group on the lineup, CORTIS were selected for Billboard's 21 Under 21 Class of 2026 and Variety's Power of Young Hollywood Impact List 2026, spotlighting their role as boundary-pushing originals. They then embarked on their first North American tour, 'PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN,' with every show selling out. Now, just one year into their career, CORTIS have earned two nominations at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards for Best New Artist and Best K-Pop, further reflecting their growing global recognition.
