BrooklynVegan Unleashes Quiet Slang's Debut Album Stream + FUTURE MIXTAPE FOR THE ART KIDS Video

James Alex of Philadelphia's fiery punk project Beach Slang has revealed the newQuiet Slang "Future Mixtape for The Art Kids" video. For those whose interest has been piqued by the single, the debut Quiet Slang full-length album, Everything Matters But No One Is Listening, is streaming a day ahead of its Polyvinyl Record Co. release via BrooklynVegan.

"All the best stuff is part-cracked and part-patched. The best humans are made the same. And that's all this is-a love letter to all my friends who thought they were meant to die young. See?-we made it," says Alex about the new video. "Look, if you don't believe in God, no sweat. Just believe in love."

"Future Mixtape for The Art Kids" video is available to post/share HERE.

Quiet Slang is a direct confrontation to the trembling walls of distortion that serve as Beach Slang's raison d'etre. As the name implies, Alex is embracing minimalism, smothering the fuzz in favor of a cello, a piano, and his voice on the album. Quiet Slang made its debut live appearance at SXSW and has announced an extensive national spring tour. Offering fans many new chances to experience their captivating live show, the band will make stops in NYC, DC, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, Philly and more.

Alex linked up with longtime co-producer Dave Downham for Everything Matters But No One Is Listening, who worked with him in bringing on cellist Dan Delaneyand pianist Keith Giosa. Rounding out the crew were Stacey Downham, Matt Weber, Charlie Lowe and New Jersey quartet The Warhawks, who lent their voices to evoke what Alex describes as a "back alley choir."
