Breanne Düren's debut EP, Sparks, debuted at #5 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. Sparks also climbed to #3 on the iTunes Pop Chart the night it was released. Düren will perform her final EP release show this Friday, May 20th in Minneapolis, MN at 7th Street Entry before she hits the road to sing back up and play keyboards with Owl City beginning June 13th in Nashville, TN at the Ryman Auditorium. She will also open for him in select cities on the world tour. (All Dates Below).

Produced by Mike Daly (a former member of Ryan Adam's band Whiskeytown who has worked with Rachael Yamagata, The Pernice Brothers, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals), Sparks is a five-song introduction to this charming young artist that showcases her sweet, soulful voice, unique lyrical point of view, and talent for writing lithe, playful melodies. "Gold Mine" boasts a modern take on the pop-soul vibe of classic '60s girl groups, while "No One Else" bounces along on a stripped-down synth-pop groove.

Critics and fans alike praised the first single, "Gold Mine." USA Today recently described it as "a girl group throwback with a modern streak of grrrl power," and Entertainment Weekly recently told its readers if you "love Adele's 'Rumor Has It', then try 'Gold Mine.'" Artist Direct said, "This is the perfect summer pop album, and an even more perfect introduction to Düren. Sparks may fly as soon as you hear it." My Old Kentucky Blog called it "a tune custom built for sunny days and convertibles, and almost sure to find favor with folks who can't get enough of the throwback pop-soul being dealt by artists like Adele and She & Him."

In celebration of her debut release, AOL Music hosted a Full CD Listening Party, Teen Vogue premiered the video for "Gold Mine," and Düren also performed live acoustic sessions for Livestream and Artist Direct. She also played EP Release shows in New York City at Soho House, The Living Room and the SOHO Apple Store and at Hotel Café in Los Angeles. Düren's song "Gold Mine" was also the iTunes Discovery Download the week of release.
