Beckie Menzie & Tom Michael Perform 'That 60's Show' at Davenport's

Beckie Menzie & Tom Michael celebrate their 10th anniversary as one of Chicago's most beloved musical duos with That 60's Show. Marking the 50th anniversary of the decade that forever revolutionized popular music, Menzie and Michael's new show will feature songs by many of that era's favorite performers including The Beatles, The Supremes, The Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, Petula Clark and many more performed in the duo's award winning style.

That 60's Show
will have a limited run of 4 performances only at Davenport's (1383 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago), Saturday's in April (3, 10, 17, & 24 at 8pm. There is a $18 cover charge and two-drink minimum. Due to the high demand, reservations are highly recommended by calling 773.278.1830.

Their imaginative musical twists on jazz favorites, standards, contemporary pop, Broadway show tunes and film gems, have won them audience and critical acclaim across the country and around the globe. Menzie & Michael's diverse touring schedule has recently taken them to some very prestigious stages, including New York's Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Town Hall. They have also been included in?New York's Cabaret Scenes Magazine's "Top Ten Cabaret Acts"?for five consecutive years.

Their recording efforts have been praised by Billboard Magazine, BackStage, Show Business Weekly and Playbill and their latest CD, "Better Two-gether," available on iTunes and amazon.com, has been hailed by critics as "magic," "sensational," and "one of the year's best recordings."

Named "among the best performers in Chicago" by Rick Kogan of WGN Radio, Menzie & Michael have appeared at The Auditorium Theatre, Park West, The Pritzker Stage at Millenium Park, The Empire Room and Maxim's. They have also been featured at numerous Chicago Humanities Festival ASCAP concerts.

Menzie has extensive theater credits working with some of the most acclaimed and respected productions in the Midwest. Beckie has served as musical director for Marriott Lincolnshire (2008's production of Nunsense) and The Wagon Wheel, where she also starred in The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas. As a songwriter (along with collaborator Cheri Coons) has been featured in the Pegasus Players' Female Problems The Musical and the musical revue The Ho Ho Ho Show at the Eastlight Theatre, Chicago's Pump Room and Lake Geneva.

Beckie also serves on the faculty for Northwestern University's musical theatre program where her students have included Broadway stars Heather Headley of The Lion King and Kate Schindle, of Broadway's Legally Blonde.
