Grammy nominated Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto is excited to be back on tour this Fall. Her month long US tour will start on September 10th in Boca Raton, FL and continues through October, where she will perform a 3-night run at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY before joining fellow Brazilian Mariza in Newark, NJ on the 16th. The tour will make stops in ten different cities across the country.

Gilberto, who has earned multiple Grammy nominations over the course of her career, has captivated fans and earned media acclaim worldwide with her trademark electronic bossa nova, sonically transporting listeners to Brazil, with bright, incandescent bossa nova-infused melodies, lyrics about love, and a lilting performance style has earned her raves for her live performances.

Hailing from a rich musical lineage, Bebel is the is the daughter of João Gilberto and singer Miúcha, and grew up surrounded by her extended musically family, including her uncle Chico Buarque and family friends like Milton Nacimento, Tom Jobim, Caetano Veloso, and João Donato. Her professional solo debut came in 1986 with a self-titled EP released by WEA which included "Preciso dizer que te amo," a partnership with Cazuza.

With her highly acclaimed release Tanto Tempo in 2000, Bebel introduced her now-trademark blend of electronic bossa nova, which took over clubs around the world and positioned Bebel as one of the top-selling Brazilian artists in the U.S. The album reflected Bebel's life split growing up between Brazil and New York City, infusing a modern, cosmopolitan edge to the music she grew up with. She continues to call New York City home to this day.
