Anthony Kearns Sings 'O, America!' For Fourth Of July Special On HUCKABEE

World-renowned tenor Anthony Kearns sang his signature song, "O' America!" on TBN's popular show, 'Huckabee,' on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 8 p.m. Eastern/ 7 p.m. Central.

This was Mr. Kearns' fourth television appearance with former AR Governor and Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee, and his first on Governor Huckabee's new highly-acclaimed television show on TBN. It was live-streamed on Huckabee's Facebook page and TBN's website: facebook.com/HuckabeeOnTBN/ and tbn.org

The show was taped before a live studio audience in Branson, Missouri, at the Opera House in Silver Dollar City.

Mr. Kearns said he chose to sing "O, America!" in anticipation of The Fourth of July for its powerful message of patriotism and unity. It was a collaboration of an Irish lyricist, Brendan Graham, and an American composer, William Joseph, which is meaningful to me as an Irishman living in America," said Kearns.

"I was pleased to perform this song for Governor Huckabee and his studio audience during the Branson show. He has become a great friend over the years, and it was my privilege to sing 'O, America!' with Tre Corley and their fantastic band," said Kearns.

Said Governor Huckabee: "I'm absolutely delighted to have Anthony Kearns on my show to kick off the Fourth of July by singing 'O, America!' The response before the live audience was absolutely overwhelming and authentic. The crowd loved Anthony and his song -- and I would anticipate his return to Branson in the near future. He is indeed America's tenor."

Mr. Kearns is a member of The Irish Tenors, with whom he has a dozen CDs, many of which went Gold, Platinum and Double-Platinum. He first performed "O, America!" with the U.S. Air Force Band.

Kearns made millions of new fans after his debut performance on 'Huckabee' in 2010 with his delivery of "The Lord's Prayer" and "Danny Boy." He performed again on the show in 2011 with a stunning rendition of "Ave Maria" which he dedicated to U.S. military troops.

Following Kearns' first appearance on his show, Governor Huckabee said that Anthony's performance "generated among the best feedback that I've seen about one of our musical guests."

Since then, he has performed for the world's most distinguished people including Pope Francis I and his fourth American President, President Trump - as well as in several prominent venues, from the National Memorial Day Concert at the U.S. Capitol on PBS, to the National Concert Hall in Dublin to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. Earlier this year, he performed as the invitation of House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) at the U.S. Capitol for 100 bipartisan members of Congress and other distinguished guests.

"Mr. Kearns is a respected musical ambassador on both sides of the Atlantic," said Kirsten Fedewa, president of Kirsten Fedewa & Associates, L.L.C, which arranges Mr. Kearns' celebrity appearances. "He began as the youngest member of the PBS super-stars, The Irish Tenors, and he has since expanded this role in his solo career. It was fun to bring together Anthony and my good friend Governor Huckabee for this Fourth of July celebration."
