About Alvin Ailey:
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, America's premier modern dance company, is known for its vibrant fusion of modern dance, ballet and more. The company grew from a now-fabled performance in March 1958 at New York City's 92nd Street Y. Led by Alvin Ailey and a group of young African-American modern dancers, that performance changed forever the perception of American dance.

By today, the company has performed for an estimated 23 million people in 48 states and 71 countries on six continents -- and to millions more through television broadcasts.

Revelations, set to African-American spirituals, song-sermons, gospel songs and holy blues, has become a cultural treasure, beloved by generations of fans.

About Jonathan's Choice: Cyrille Aimée & Kate McGarry:
Two full, separate performances and conversations in a single night! The performances, which take place before a live audience, will be taped for future broadcast on The Jonathan Channel and WNYC 93.9FM.

A past winner of NJPAC's Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, Cyrille Aimée happily tours the world with her band and in a duo setting with Brazilian guitarist Diego Figueiredo.

Kate McGarry is recognized as a jazz artist who brings authenticity and vitality to every song, regardless of genre. The Wall Street Journal calls her "austere and elegant." She currently performs in jazz clubs, performing arts centers and festivals throughout the U.S. and abroad, and has served on the faculties of Manhattan School of Music and New England Conservatory.

A champion of the masters of the American Songbook, Jonathan Schwartz has been a fixture of New York radio for more than 50 years and a host on WNYC for the past 15 years. His Jonathan Channel features timeless standards by legendary artists and up-and-comers, accompanied by Schwartz's colorful anecdotes, personal tales and encyclopedic musical knowledge.
