Adam Lambert to Play Shows With Queen this Summer

Billboard reports that American Idol and Broadway alum Adam Lambert, will play four concerts with rock band Queen this summer. The first will be on June 30th in Moscow. The details for the other shows be announced later.

"Adam...of course he has this unbelievable range, like Freddie (Mercury) had range. Adam can really cover it. He's an extraordinary singer and a real talent. I feel he fits into our sort of theatricality," Queen band member Roger Taylor said.

During Lambert's finale appearance on the 2009 season of American Idol, the singer performed 'We Are the Champions' with some of the surviving members of Queen. The singer also performed with the band at last year's MTV Europe Awards. His Broadway credits include
