ANNAPOLIS BAYGRASS to Add Cris Jacobs, Debut Ballad for the Bay
Festival lineup also includes LITTLE FEAT, YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND and BÉLA FLECK: MY BLUEGRASS HEART.
Cris Jacobs will join the Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival as a special Sunday guest musician, organizers announced. Now in its fourth year, the festival will return to its beachfront location at Sandy Point State Park along the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, Maryland, over two days in September. Jacobs joins a lineup that includes LITTLE FEAT, YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND, BELA FLECK: MY BLUEGRASS HEART, Sam Bush, Mountain Grass Unit, TOPHOUSE, SHADOWGRASS, SCYTHIAN, Sister Sadie, Fireside Collective, Midnight North, Jammy Buffet, Melody Trucks & The Fitzkee Brothers Band, and Geraldine, along with artists-at-large Allie Kral, Alvin Lee, and Patrick Rainey.
Cris Jacobs said, 'Baygrass is one of those festivals that just gets it right. It's a beautiful place, great people, and always amazing musicians. I'm really looking forward to being a part of it again.'
The festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 19-20, 2026. Performances will take place on two alternating beachside stages over the course of two days. Fans can expect to see the artists-at-large making their rounds, creating unique moments with their special improvisational magic.
Throughout the weekend, Baygrass offers something for everyone, from interactive music and educational workshops to beach yoga, yard and tabletop games, a vibrant artisan village, and an unforgettable KidZone. There will be a lively waterfront beer garden with fresh microbrews and an exceptional VIP experience. Guests can also savor the best of the region with fresh Chesapeake seafood, gourmet BBQ, and a delicious selection of vegan and vegetarian fare.

Additional programming announced for the weekend includes a workshop titled From Bay to Ballad: The Story, Songwriting, and Live Performance of The Secrets That She Keeps, hosted by the Watershed Stewards Academy and featuring Benny Burle Galloway alongside Dave Johnston of YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND, Allie Kral, and Cory Chubb of GERALDINE. The session will center on a song Galloway wrote in support of Chesapeake Bay conservation efforts.
