This past weekend the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival returned for its seventh year, taking over nine venues in the heart of Williamsburg with performances from over 75 emerging and established electronic artists from around the globe. Since its inception in 2008, BEMF has established itself as a NYC mainstay - an endemic and eclectic festival celebrating Brooklyn's electronic musical landscape. This year's festival was the largest yet and exceeded last year's attendance numbers.

"NYC dance floor heroes both new and established took over Brooklyn this past weekend. Multiple DJ's and fans mentioned to me that the energy was palpable - the parties electric," said BEMF co-owner Jen Lyon. "It's exciting to see that as Brooklyn grows and is now increasingly part of the international discussion of electronic music, the local fans have not jaded but instead grown more passionate. We're grateful to all of the fans, artists, and sponsors who made this weekend a success."

"It was a magical weekend. The connection between us, BEMF attendees and our DJs was so deeply woven that it was impossible to walk through the streets or dance floors of Williamsburg without knowing you were a part of something much bigger," added co-owner Katie Longmyer. "We're incredibly grateful and proud to put a spotlight on the lifestyle and contributions Brooklyn is making to dance music."

This year's festival featured unforgettable performances by Galantis, Booka Shade, DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist, The Gaslamp Killer, Alessandro Cortini, Todd Edwards, Eats Everything, Damian Lazarus, Chris Malinchak, Little Boots, Prefuse 73, a special Boiler Room session with Frankie Bones, DJ Keoki, and Love & Logic, and much more. This year's venues included Music Hall of Williamsburg, Output, The Panther Room, Verboten, Cameo, Villain, Baby's All Right, Glasslands, The W Downtown, and a warehouse deep in Bushwick.

W New York - Downtown was once again the official hotel partner of the festival. Novation was the festival's official hardware partner. Kinfolk served as the official fashion curator of this year's festival. Kinfolk's newly-minted venue served as the ticketing and information hub for the event through out the weekend.
