Not just an inspiring documentary, MUNDO ALAS is a road movie. A journey of initiation by a group of new young artists who present their works, accompanied by the voice, talent and experience of León Gieco (Argentina's most important folk-rock singer and songwriter) on a tour through several Argentinean provinces. Exceptional artists, musicians, singers, dancers and painters, they all live with disabilities that might deter some, but not them. Outsider Pictures is promoting MUNDO ALAS for an Oscar nomination for 2011.

As the tour progresses, we get to know their stories and witness their artistic growth over time. Shows, rehearsals, roads and hotels are the settings of anecdotes and music that conceive new dreams: recording the Mundo Alas soundtrack and closing the tour with a big concert at the Luna Park in Buenos Aires. During this time, love stories and human relationships are born, which proves that integration is possible.

MUNDO ALAS is a truly wonderful musical experience about overcoming difficulties that starts by naming and acknowledging people by their capacity.

The film had its North American premiere at the 11th Havana Film Festival New York on April 22, 2010. Running Time: 90 mins. Film is not yet rated.
