We recently attended a beer and burger pairing dinner at Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar in Morris Plains, New Jersey. Zinburger has locations along the East Coast from New York to Florida. This inviting food lover's spot has become known for great burgers and top-notch beverages. But they offer so much more. The dinner showcased the variety of menu items that Zinburger regularly offers like salads, sides, and desserts, all wonderfully presented.

The recipes for the beer and burger pairing dinner were created for the event by Zinburger's renowned Executive Chef, David Maini and his team. Andrew Imperato of the Boston Beer Company, the maker of Samuel Adams, was on hand to discuss the selected beers and how they complemented the food.

The 5-course dinner included Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider paired with Waldorf Salad; Flying Fish Extra Pale Ale with Hamachi Crudo; Samuel Adams Fresh as Helles with Jerk Fried Chicken, Samuel Adams Rebel IPA with the Rebel Burger; and Left Hand Brewing Co. Milk Stout with Milk Stout Tiramisu. The beer for each course was creatively included in each the dinner's recipes. The Waldorf Salad had the Hard Cider in the Creamy Yogurt Viniagrette; the burger had the IPA in the Habanero Horseradish Aoli and the dessert had the Milk Stout in the Tiramisu Mousse.

We like that Zinburger posts specials to please their guests. They include their "Burger of the Week," "Shake of the Month. " Their wine program features a fine array of choices and there are half price bottles every Wednesday. Zinburger has also distinguished itself as a family dining spot with a generous kid's menu.

In New Jersey, Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar currently has restaurants in Cherry Hill, Clifton, Paramus and Morris Plains. And get your taste buds ready.
