The Garden Theatre Presents IN HIS NAME...WE DANCE! WE SING! 12/21-22
The Garden Theatre presents In His Name...We Dance! We Sing! in a collaborative Christmas concert between the Centre for Dance & the Performing Arts (CDPA) and Garden Community Choir (GCC), Monday and Tuesday, December 21-22, 2009 at 8pm at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street). This original celebration began 16 years ago with Kathryn Austin's dance studio CDPA, and continues to be a part of Winter Garden holiday tradition.
ABOUT THE CENTRE FOR DANCE & THE PERFORMING ARTS
The Centre for Dance & the Performing Arts in historic downtown Winter Garden, led by Kathryn Austin, is a full service dance education facility dedicated to serving the children, youth and parents of West Orange and Lake Counties.
ABOUT THE GARDEN COMMUNITY CHOIR
The Garden Community Choir is composed of singers from the local community who volunteer their time and voices. Directed by Jeffrey Redding, choral director at West Orange High School, GCC seeks to collaborate with and perform for the Winter Garden area "building community through song."
ABOUT THE GARDEN THEATRE
Located in the heart of historic downtown Winter Garden on Plant Street, the Garden Theatre is operated by the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit community organization which works to preserve local history and offers cultural theatric experiences unique to West Orange County and the citizens of Winter Garden. The theatre restoration project, which began in 2003, showcases an atmospheric theatre in a Mediterranean Revival style venue. The former single screen movie theater hosts live theatre, dance and music, cinema viewings, various community events and educational programs.
