River Street Theatre Announces 2018 Stage2Screen Series Schedule

The Park Theatre's River Street Theatre announced today its 2018 lineup of cinema events for its Stage2Screen Series. The series includes productions from the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Opera House and Royal Ballet. The Stage2Screen Series premiered one year ago at the River Street Theatre with the presentation of Kenneth Branagh's The Entertainer.

"We are so proud and delighted to continue to bring these magnificent productions to the Monadnock Region," said Steve Jackson, CEO and Managing Director of The Park Theatre. "In addition to the British productions, we presented in 2017 the Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada and multiple Russian stage productions. We will be adding more surprise additions to our 2018 schedule as the year progresses. Stay tuned," added Jackson.

Tickets for all Stage2Screen presentations are $20.00. Students and teachers are $15.00. About The Park Theatre & River Street TheatreThe Park Theatre first opened in Jaffrey in 1922 and was the center of community life as a movie and vaudeville house for 54 years until it closed in 1976. Purchased by The Park Theatre, Inc. in 2006, it will be rebuilt as a state-of-the-art film and performing arts center, featuring two auditoriums seating 485, presenting movies, live theatre, including children's productions, concerts, and lectures as well as offering a place for business and community gatherings for the Monadnock Region and its 100,000 residents, school districts and dynamic artistic community. The new Park Theatre is scheduled to open in 2018.

The Park Theatre currently operates the River Street Theatre (RST), a small live entertainment and cinema venue, located adjacent to the construction site as an interim theatre until the new Park Theatre opens. Opened in January of 2017, the RST holds the title of "smallest theatre in New England."
