The comic's comic, Nick DiPaolo is a regular on the Comedy Central Roasts, Howard Stern Show and Opie and Anthony and was in the film Beer League. The very funny Nick DiPaolo is bringing his stand-up show to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, August 2, at 8 p.m. His honest and caustic comedy has made him a sought after voice on stage, television and radio and earned him two Emmy Nominations for writing. DiPaolo has four standup specials, which he wrote and starred in, four CDs and a one-hour Showtime special "Raw Nerve" to his credit. Special guest is Meghan Hanley, a New York comedian, writer and actor who was voted one of New York's Emerging Comics by The NYC Underground Comedy Festival in 2010. Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) is offering a free glass of house wine or draught beer with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented. This event is part of the Clark Construction Comedy Series.

DiPaolo's career took off after he appeared on "HBO's Young Comedian Special". He has starred in numerous comedy shows, including Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Collin Quinn and several of their roasts, most notably for Pamela Anderson, Denis Leary, Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy. DiPaolo's movie credits include The Sopranos and The Chris Rock Show. His comedic pearls of wisdom even made it to the 77th Annual Academy Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards.
