ComedySportz-Houston's 13th Annual High School League Tournament Set for 5/22

ComedySportz-Houston presents its 13th Annual High School League Tournament on Thursday May 22nd at Faith West Academy (2225 Porter Road, Katy, TX 77493). Starting at 7pm, come see the talented minor leaguers play for major laughs as the 2013 champs, Taylor High School, defend their meaningless, yet, coveted "Golden Cafeteria Tray" award.

Schools participating along with Faith West this year are Cinco Ranch, Katy, Mayde Creek, Morton Ranch, Seven Lakes, Taylor and Tompkins from Katy ISD; Memorial, and Spring Woods from Spring Branch ISD; Cypress Ranch and Cypress Falls from Cypress-Fairbanks ISD; private schools Houston Christian and Pope John; and West Side High School from Houston ISD.

Formed in 1995, the ComedySportz High School League (HSL) features student "actletes" in the established all-age appropriate ComedySportz format. Through workshops conducted by professional ComedySportz coaches, the HSL offers high school students the opportunity to create, direct and perform as a team in a safe, fun-filled environment.

Join us at Faith West on this special night when we highlight the comedy improvisers of the future. Admission for the tournament is only $7.

Founded in Milwaukee, WI, in 1984, ComedySportz is an improvisational comedy show that entertains in cities nationwide. In the Greater Houston area, ComedySportz-Houston performs for all ages at a variety of private and corporate special events, in addition to its family-friendly ComedySportz matches held at the Arena on Fridays and Saturdays, 8pm. Admission is $18. Reservations are recommended.

ComedySportz also offers The Great Game Show Mash Up and the UNSCRIPTED series, the

late-night, adults-only improv shows on Fridays and Saturdays, respectively, at 10:30pm. Admission to late-night shows is $12.
