Video: Patrick Page Explores Shakespeare's Greatest Villains in ALL THE DEVILS ARE HERE at McCarter Theatre Center
On stage August 19th through 30th, 2026.
McCarter Theatre Center has released a new video offering a first look at ALL THE DEVILS ARE HERE, the solo theatrical event starring Tony Award nominee and Grammy Award winner Patrick Page, known to Broadway audiences for his work in HADESTOWN. The clip introduces the production ahead of its upcoming engagement at the Princeton, New Jersey venue.
ALL THE DEVILS ARE HERE places Page at the center of a wide-ranging exploration of Shakespeare's most notorious villains, drawing on more than a dozen characters across the canon. The performance moves through the ruthless ambition of Macbeth, the seductive manipulation of Iago, the gleeful cunning of Richard III, and the fury of Shylock, among others. Rather than treating these figures as simple monsters, the production frames them as a lens through which Shakespeare's evolving conception of evil, and of human nature itself, comes into focus. The Wall Street Journal has called Page one of America's finest classical actors, and Playbill has dubbed him the Villain of Broadway.
The production is directed by Simon Godwin, Artistic Director of Shakespeare Theatre Company and a former associate director of The National Theatre in London. McCarter Theatre Center, which announced the show as part of its 2026/27 Theater Series earlier this year, continues to build a season that spans classical work, new musicals, and Pulitzer Prize-winning drama.
