The Kavinoky Theatre, a professional theatre on the campus of D'Youville College, concludes its 37th season with the production of Florian Zeller's THE FATHER, translated by Christopher Hampton.

Florian Zeller has said that what interests him as a dramatist is the slipperiness of truth, and in THE FATHER he invites us to see life through the eyes of an aging central character whose memory is fading. Andre lives in Paris with his daughter, Anne - or does he? At once touching and amusing, poignant and troubling, THE FATHER challenges us to witness, first hand, the confusion that can come with old age. Ultimately, the play is both a beautiful portrait of a man in his twilight years and a brilliant evocation of love and loss. Artistic Director David Lamb returns to the stage in the role of Andre in what promises to be one of his finest performances.

In addition to Mr. Lamb, director Robert Waterhouse has assembled a cast of some of Buffalo's finest actors: Aleks Malejs, Christopher Evans, Kristin Bentley, Jenn Stafford, and Adriano Gatto.
