The Kavinoky Theatre, a professional theatre on the campus of D'Youville College, concludes its 37th season with the production of Florian Zeller's THE FATHER, translated by Christopher Hampton.

This special performance of THE FATHER on Thursday, May 4th at 7:30 pm will include a talk-back for the audience. Actors, the director, and a representative from The Alzheimer's Association, Western New York Chapter will address questions about the play and Alzheimer's disease. The award-winning play is presented from the patient's point of view¾we see and experience all the action and dialogue as he does. At once touching and amusing, poignant and troubling, THE FATHER is a beautiful portrait of a man in his twilight years and a brilliant evocation of love and loss. Artistic Director David Lamb returns to the stage in the role of Andre in what promises to be one of his finest performances.

In addition to Mr. Lamb, director Robert Waterhouse has assembled a cast of some of Buffalo's finest actors: Aleks Malejs, Christopher Evans, Kristin Bentley, Jenn Stafford, and Adriano Gatto.

take place on Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. The gala opening night performance will be held on Friday, April 28th at 7:30 p.m. and includes a catered wine reception with the cast following the performance.
