RLTP Celebrates The Holidays With THE ART OF STORYTELLING 12/1
By: Gabrielle Sierra
Road Less Traveled Productions today announced the next installment of its new series, Stories From The Road, a semi-monthly storytelling event hosted by RLTP Co-Founder and Resident Playwright Jon Elston. Stories From The Road: It's A Wonderful Life (?) is set for Wednesday, December 1st, at 7PM, and will feature an evening of tales of holiday cheer...and panic!
Said Elston, December's storytelling installment is "a great way to gear up for the rigors of the holiday season!" Elston explained that the event title, It's A Wonderful Life (?),reflects society's ambivalence toward the holidays. "The holiday season is a festive time of year, full of fun, excitement, loved ones, and, often, spirituality... but then there's also that element of stress, of maniacally, racing about for cranberry sauce or to get to that next party or to find that last essential gift," Elston said. "December's Stories From The Road will reflect that humorous dichotomy.""Stories will recount joy and good cheer and holiday magic, and surely listeners' hearts will be warmed... but there will also be the occasional narrative steaming nugget of reindeer flop. Consider it a little reality-based psychological preparation for the month to come and fun for everyone!" December 1st storytellers will include veterans such as actress Kathleen Betsko Yale and author Gary Earl Ross, as well as newcomers C. Frances Fallon and Justin Karcher. As always, Elston will contribute a tale of his own.
